OR

The world’s a stage!  This hunt is all the rage.  For the next page, finid the place for actors of any age.

(Due to a misprint, we’re offering two clues today, just as we did on Monday.  Both locations will have the same set of letters.)

11/2/2008, CLUE #1:  For your first hint, follow the famous panthers prints.  Stay for a stint, and follow the clue for the prize that is mint!

Here’s how it works:

A medallion will be hidden somewhere in the Eustis city limits. The person(s) who find the medallion must turn it in to the Eustis Chamber office, located at 1 W. Orange Ave. to claim their prizes. The first clue to the medallion’s location will be published in the Sunday, Nov. 2 edition of the Daily Commercial. Each clue will give a description where an Edgar J. Banks placard is located.  If, after reading the clue, you know where that placard is, head to that location.  If you’re correct, you’ll find the placard, which will have a series of letters taped on it.  Use those letters to fill in the cryptoquote that appears alongside the clues in the Daily Commercial.  Subsequent clues will be published each day until Friday, Nov. 7.  If you can’t figure out a particular day’s clue, the letters for that clue will be published the following day in the Daily Commercial and on the newspaper’s Web site at www.dailycommercial.com.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true contest if there weren’t a few rules.

1.  The first person(s) to find the medallion and turn it in at the Eustis Chamber office (      352-357-3434      ) will be declared the winner.  If the winner is under the age of 18, the prizes must be claimed by a parent or guardian.

2.  The medallion will not be located inside a locked or fenced area, so please be mindful to not trespass on private property. Also, you will not have to dig or climb on top of anything to retrieve the medallion.

3.  If the medallion is not found by 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, the prizes will be donated to the Eustis 125th Anniversary Committee Fund.

4.  Event organizers have the right to discontinue the hunt if public property is destroyed.

5.  Individuals under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate in the hunt.

6.  All participants agree that the City of Eustis, the Eustis 125th Anniversary Committee and the Daily Commercial will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by participants for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prizes or participation in this contest.

7.  By accepting the prizes, the winner grants permission for the Eustis 125th Anniversary Committee and the Daily Commercial to use his or her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness for advertising and/or publicity without compensation.

8.  No purchase is necessary to win.

9.  Members of the Eustis 125th Anniversary Committee, employees of the Eustis Chamber of Commerce and employees of the Daily Commercial are not eligible to participate in the contest.

10.  All judges’ decisions are final.
