Look-A-Like Contest

RULES

The “Indiana Jones Look-alike Contest” will award those participants who most closely resemble the character Indiana Jones, as played by Harrison Ford, from the LucasFilm series. Contestant costumes may reflect Indiana Jones at any age depicted in the movie series, even the young Indiana portrayed by River Phoenix in “The Last Crusade.”

 

Judging will take place by the attending crowd at the stage show Saturday, November 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m., prior to the Movie in the Park at Fountain Green, downtown Eustis. Men, ages 16 and over, are eligible to participate. The MC will ask the crowd to determine the winner by applause levels.  All decisions are final.

 

The winner will win the newly released (Oct. 14, 2008) “Indiana Jones Complete Adventure Collection DVD 4-disc set” and two $25.00 dinner gift certificates from Luigi’s Italian Restaurant.  Second and third place winners will be awarded consolation prizes.

 

The contest is an event of the Eustis 125th Anniversary Committee as part of the Dr. Edgar J. Banks Relic Hunt Week, A Real Indiana Jones.  No member of the 125th Anniversary Committee or Eustis Chamber of Commerce staff or board members, nor their family members, may compete.

  • WHO IS EDGAR BANKS?

    Dr. Banks was the first person to search for Noah's Ark and the first American to cross the Arabian desert (on a camel, no less!). Dr. Banks retired from archaelogy to Eustis, where he set up a movie production company and lived for 24 years. The Eustis Historial Museum has an entire room devoted to Dr. Banks, a man many believe was an inspiration for the Indiana Jones character.

  • FUN FOR ALL AGES!

    The RELIC HUNT is open to all ages. But if the person who finds the medallion is under 18 years old, their parent or guardian must claim the prizes for them at the Eustis Chamber (352-357-3434).
