Edgar J. Banks Relic Hunt Week
Schedule of Confirmed Activities

Sunday, November 2

  • Medallion/Relic Hunt begins and goes until medallion is found (A new clue will be posted each day beginning Nov. 2, or until the medallion is found through Nov. 9, on www.EdgarBanks.com, in the Daily Commercial, and sponsoring local banks… “The Banks of Eustis”)
  • Tour of Lake Dalhousie Home –Tours at 2:00; 2:45; or 3:30 pm (Dr. Ladley, current owner, will do three guided tours) $10/adult. Tickets purchased in advance at the Eustis Chamber of Commerce.

Friday  evening – November 7

·         125th Promotion Booth at First Friday promoting the Relic Hunt Saturday Events – (Look for the Sahara tent w/the sarcophagus out front) – T-shirt sales, Highwayman 2009 calendars, postcards, and mugs will be sold as fundraisers.

Saturday – November 8

·         Edgar J. Banks Plaque Dedication at Ferran Park – 11:00 am -  FREE

·         Organized Kiddy Relic Games (Ages 3-11) – Time: 3-5 pm in Ferran Park (adults much accompany children) – FREE

·         Public arrives for presentation and to view exhibit at City Hall  - 3:30 – 4:00pm – FREE

·         Presentation at City Hall Commission Chambers – Dr. Ewa Waslewska Time: 4-5 pm Open to the Public – FREE

·         Reception and exhibit viewing at City Hall – 5:00 to 6:00 pm – Open to the public – FREE

·         Vendor booths on Magnolia St. – open at 4 pm (Face painting, rock climb, beaded necklaces, art, and food/beverages). Food vendors open until 10:30 pm – Other vendors close down at 7:30 pm

·         “Gus” the live camel photo opportunity at Fountain Green fountain area – FREE

·         Pre-movie Activities/Awards/Stunt Show – at the movie screen stage in Fountain Green 6:00-7:30 pm. Public brings blankets and chairs to view on hillside.  FREE                             

·         Movie Presentation – “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” – Fountain Green   7:30-9:30 pm  FREE

Sunday – November 9

·         Archeology Dig at the Clifford House  Museum – 2-5 pm (Pending) FREE

·         Ancient tablet Exhibit moves to Eustis Historical Museum for showing that afternoon from 1-5 pm. FREE
